To become a Full Member of the YMA you will need to:
1. be registered, licensed and in good standing with the Yukon Medical Council
2. be a resident of the Yukon Please Note: 2 pieces of documentation is required to provide proof of residency
3. complete the Membership Application Form (contact office@yukondoctors.ca)
4.YMA will send your a link to facilitate payment.
5. Once payment is complete YMA will activate your membership.

The CCFP and RCPSC Recruitment program is funded by a contribution agreement between the Yukon Medical Association (YMA) and the Government of Yukon. The purpose of this program is to recruit Physicians to the Yukon and commit to a rural community or an Acute Care Service
The Overhead Support program is funded by a contribution agreement between the Yukon Medical Association (YMA) and the Government of Yukon. The purpose of this program is to provide support to Physicians who are paying overhead at a medical clinic to operate their practice regardless of the remuneration structure.
The purpose of this program is to match unattached patients who do not have a family doctor with a Family Physician who is willing to accept new patients into their practice.
To assist resident physicians with continuing medical education costs.
To reimburse eligible physicians for their CMPA dues on a biannual basis.
Eligibility includes: YMA Full Members residing and practicing in the Yukon -AND-Locum physicians who cover the practices of resident Yukon physicians billing the Yukon Health Care Insurance Plan (YHCIP) and who do not receive CMPA reimbursement from their own jurisdiction for the time they work in Yukon.
To assist resident physicians in attracting locum physicians by subsidizing reasonable and usual expenses and overhead expenses.
To provide partial income replacement for a physician parent who wants to take a temporary leave from Yukon practice following the birth/adoption of a child.
To encourage Yukon physicians to become preceptors and mentors for new physicians and visiting post-graduate residents and under graduate medical students.
To assist recruited physicians with their relocation costs.
To provide financial assistance for travel and accommodation costs incurred by residents or medical students who are doing elective rotations in the Yukon with either Yukon physicians or Visiting Specialists at the Visiting Specialist Clinics.
Provides an annual YMA group subscription to UpToDate, free to Full Members.
